Perhaps one of our favourite venues is the iconic Fairmont Palliser Hotel in the heart of downtown Calgary. This luxury hotel is a historic landmark built in 1914, reflective of the Edwardian architectural style made popular at that time. With 13 different grand ballrooms like the Crystal ballroom, and intimate spaces like the Oval room attached to it or the Oak room, this historic venue can suit a variety of needs for your special day.
This venue is one of Calgary’s most historic landmark hotels, built by the Canadian Pacific Railway and opened in 1914 as part of Canada’s grand railway-hotel tradition. Named after explorer John Palliser, it helped establish Calgary as a major western city, expanded in 1929, and for a time was the tallest building in Calgary. Over the decades it became a center of political, social, and business life in the city, hosting dignitaries, travelers, and major events, and it remains one of downtown Calgary’s best-known heritage buildings.

FAIRMONT PALLISER HOTEL
The Deane House is a restaurant nestled in Inglewood offering refined Canadian cuisine. This iconic riverside landmark offers a large outdoor garden, and beautiful historic interior elements. The restaurant is both warm and modern in its ambiance. The house itself is a smaller space with a beautiful upstairs library and some room for dancing. Couples typically use their outdoor lawns to celebrate their wedding day. With several rooms offered, each with their own uniqueness, the Deane House is truly a home-like wedding venue for your special day.
We’ve filmed multiple summer weddings here in their outdoor tent, as well as the annual Rose & Croquet charity event that they host at this venue in the Spring. The Deane House offers different outdoor ceremony options including the lawn in front of their garden (East lawn) and the one near their parking lot (North lawn). DEANE HOUSE
The Lake House is a beloved Canadian restaurant where many couples have gotten married at, and for good reason. Surrounded by glass windows looking out onto beautiful Lake Bonavista, with rustic interior design, complete with antler chandeliers and a beautiful fireplace, The Lake House offers an elegant ambiance like no other. Named as one of Canada’s 100 Most Romantic Restaurants for 2026 by OpenTable, with delicious rocky mountain inspired cuisine for you and your guests, this venue is truly the perfect place for you and your sweetheart to say “I Do”.
"This venue is special for Janie (my wife) and I, not only because we have worked here a lot since our beginnings in the wedding industry, but also because we chose it as the venue where we renewed our vows on our 10th year wedding anniversary. We now live close to The Lake House and know the staff very well. THE LAKE HOUSE
The Pinebrook Golf & Country Club is only a 30 minute drive out of Calgary where you’ll be met with a gorgeous lookout point filled with nature and the flowing Elbow River. Along with the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the backdrop, Pinebrook offers first-class catering, and an elegant space for both intimate and large weddings.
We truly admire the tree line road leading to the venue, it’s something you can’t find anywhere else and a gorgeous place to film. Overall the views are just so beautiful and we just love capturing footage here during the sunset. Moreover, we appreciate the grand feel of the venue and how wonderful the staff at Pinebrook are to work with!

PINEBROOK GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Named as one of Calgary’s best restaurants and also under the same ownership as the Deane House is the iconic River Café. This venue is uniquely located in the heart of Prince’s Island Park by the Bow River, ideal for couples who dream of getting married within Calgary’s nature. The River Café offers a nostalgic feel of a Rocky Mountain lodge, a gorgeous fireplace, and an intimate outdoor patio with panoramic views of Calgary’s cityscape. Of course, they also provide an amazing dining experience made with quality ingredients.
The River Café is one of our favourite restaurants in Calgary. The food is just amazing! We also love how the Bow River is right next to the restaurant — it’s a charming place for photos and videos, especially during Calgary’s beautiful sunsets.

RIVER CAFE
The Rouge Restaurant is a restored Victorian farmhouse nestled in Inglewood on Calgary’s original main street. This venue provides a timeless backdrop for your wedding day, and offers garden-fresh, seasonally inspired cuisine for you and your guests.
We find this historic home beautiful, with a unique backyard that’s a great place for photos and video. There’s also plenty of space around the venue for your wedding day. Take a look at our wedding films from Rouge Restaurant below.
ROUGE RESTAURANT
Another favourite venue in Inglewood is The Nash restaurant. This venue is part of the restored National Hotel, a heritage building that was constructed in 1907 that served temporary workers for the nearby CP railroad station. They serve cuisine made with local and quality ingredients at both The Nash and Off Cut Bar that serves as the restaurant’s “alter ego”.
We really like the modern and elegant interior at The Nash. It’s easy to capture great cinematic footage there. Also, their chicken is probably my (Oscar) favourite rotisserie chicken in town!
THE NASH
Nestled in the heart of south Calgary, Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club offers a refined setting surrounded by lush trees. This timeless venue is ideal for couples who envision an elegant celebration framed by greenery and sunset views. With large windows, a classic clubhouse ambiance, and exceptional in-house dining, Canyon Meadows blends sophistication with the natural beauty of Alberta’s landscape.
Our team likes how the Canyon Meadows Golf Course has a patio with beautiful views where you and your guests can enjoy a great cocktail hour.
CANYON MEADOWS GOLF COURSE
Tucked away in the rolling foothills just outside the city, Azuridge Estate Hotel feels like a private European escape. This luxurious estate offers panoramic mountain views, grand architecture, and beautifully designed interiors that create an atmosphere of romance. Perfect for couples seeking a secluded, high-end wedding experience, Azuridge pairs quality cuisine with incredible service for an unforgettable celebration.
We appreciate the building's elegance and beauty when filming at this venue. While the road leading to the Azuridge hotel offers great views, we think the best one is the one that you can see from the hotel’s patio.

AZURIDGE
Located in the heart of Fish Creek Provincial Park, Bow Valley Ranche offers historic charm surrounded by Calgary’s natural beauty. Set within a restored heritage ranch house, this venue captures a warm, rustic elegance with panoramic park views and refined dining. Ideal for couples drawn to timeless romance and nature, Bow Valley Ranche provides an intimate yet polished setting rich with Calgary history.
We find the restaurant to be a beautiful building. The area surrounding it has amazing spots for photos and videos especially during a beautiful sunset. It truly feels like you left town to be surrounded by nature.

BOW VALLEY RANCHE RESTAURANT
For couples dreaming of a chic, modern celebration in the city, The Hudson offers an elegant venue space in downtown Calgary. Just outside the Hudson are the popular archways by Stephen Avenue that many couples and locals love taking pictures at, a perfect spot for part of your wedding film. The Hudson blends contemporary design with a warm atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a stylish, urban wedding.
We like how The Hudson is close to the best spots that downtown Calgary has to offer. It’s such a fun venue overall.
THE HUDSON
Many couples opt to host weddings at their family property rather than an official wedding venue. These private estate weddings are typically set up with tents outdoors and allow for a lot of flexibility and customization, as well as privacy.
We’ve always cherished how private estate weddings feel inherently more personal and intimate. These are often places where couples grew up or have deep roots, which brings an added layer of meaning to their special day. That connection alone makes the memories, captured through photos and videos, feel even more unique and true to you.
