Back in my hometown of La Paz, Bolivia, I studied Political Science and Economics. And while I dabbled in that career for a while, it was filmmaking that had my heart.

For as long as I can remember I've loved old movies and classic films. And when my wife, Janie, started her floral business, I soon fell in love with weddings too. By assisting her I realized I could combine my two loves by creating wedding films, and I was sold.

In 2015 I went back to school to study videography. And shortly thereafter I interned for one of the best videography teams in Canada until I went out on my own in 2017. Since then stories of true love and connection have been my inspiration.

And professionalism, quality, and excellence have been the foundation of my approach.

As a naturally introverted guy, I empathize that you and your people might feel uncomfortable or worried about being on camera. This is why I'll show up early on your big day - to reconnect and introduce myself to your family and friends. And it's why I'll not only pay close attention to how my presence affects the energy in the room. I'll adapt to it. If talking, interacting, and laughing with me makes you feel more at ease, let's do that. Or, if you'd rather enjoy your day pretending I'm not there, a fly-on-the-wall I will be. Janie and I got married in Bolivia in 2010. And although we did not end up having the wedding of our dreams, we did create priceless memories with each other and our beloved family and friends.

Unfortunately, we can't see and relive those moments because we opted not to include videography. And this decision turned out to be one of our biggest regrets. But it's also turned into the driving force of purpose behind my films.

My hope is that each time you watch your film, you'll return to the people, love, and moments surrounding you on this day, and that you're grateful you have this film to hold onto them forever.

I enjoy reading, watching films, going to the theater, and attending operas and plays. Because I deeply appreciate all genres of art and I’m inspired to witness someone perfecting a skill and utilizing it to create something meaningful.

Art

Castaño means chestnut in Spanish. And it was my grandmother's maiden name, so it holds special meaning. Because to me, family is everything. This is why I want to help you hold onto and cherish every special moment with yours.

Family

My wife Janie and I do a vow renewal every five years to commemorate our anniversary and recommit ourselves to each other. Marriage is an incredible gift. And I wish you the best in yours.
